Courses for Groups (Students and Teachers of English)

Hilderstone College has years of experience in organising English Language courses of all types for both small and large groups. We frequently run group courses for international teachers, professional and business people, Cambridge Examination students, General English students and university students. These courses are very successful and popular, so make a provisional booking early to avoid disappointment.

Availability

Group courses can be run at almost any time of year. Naturally, we have limited availability for group courses as we try to maintain a good nationality mix in the College, so it's essential that you contact us as early as possible. We will need full details of your group, including approximate group size, age range, language levels, proposed course dates, and any other special requirements.  We will then prepare a programme and quotation to meet your exact requirements.

Programme

We produce a detailed programme in consultation with you or the group leader. Any aspect of the programme can be modified to meet the group’s requirements, which may of course increase or reduce the cost. To see a sample, please use the link in the left hand menu.

The way the lessons were taught was the perfect image of what should be done in any lesson in any country!

  2. Use of self-access facilities after class (including our superb Multimedia Learning Centre).
  3. Accommodation with a local family within walking distance of the College (single room; breakfast and evening meal on weekdays; all meals at weekends; no other student of the same language in the family).
  4. A programme of social activities, including a minimum of three evening activities, one midweek half-day excursion per week and one full-day Saturday excursion.
  5. College registration fee (normally £50 per person).
  6. Free family accommodation for a non-student group leader.
  7. Free language/teachers course for group leader if appropriate and available.

  9. Free return transfers between Dover or Heathrow/Gatwick/Stansted airports and Hilderstone College (providing the group travel together).

Minimum Age

17+ (although we will consider students aged 16+ as part of a group if we have your assurance that they are mature enough to mix well in an adult environment).  Please note: if groups are to be integrated with other international students in June - September, the number of 16 year olds in your group should be limited (2 or 3 out of 10, for example).
