Both Hilderstone College and East Kent College are state further education colleges located in the centre of the lovely seaside town of Broadstairs, just a short walk from each other. Specialising in different areas of education they have combined to offer international students a unique international foundation course, the perfect way to start on the path to a university qualification in your chosen subject.

This course is designed for students who wish to improve their English, as well as their academic knowledge in their chosen subject. With a clear path of progression through to an HNC course and degree course it is the perfect starting point for your academic studies in the UK.
You will improve your academic English skills. You will develop your knowledge of your chosen subject area. You will be ready to study at HNC level and beyond.
Successful completion of the course is achieved with:
• IELTS overall score of 6 with a minimum of 5.5 in all areas
• a satisfactory level in the vocational subject
• an attendance of at least 85%.
Continuing your studies after the course
Successful completion of the International Foundation Course guarantees automatic entry onto the associated HNC (Higher National Certificate) programme at East Kent College, which is validated by Canterbury Christ Church University.
36 week course: an English level equivalent to a minimum of an IELTS overall score of 5 with a minimum of 4.5 in all areas.
24 week course: an English level equivalent to a minimum of an IELTS overall score of 5.5 with a minimum of 5 in all areas.
In addition: suitability for the vocational subject chosen will be decided prior to acceptance onto the course.
A satisfactory personal statement (as judged by East Kent College) to showing your interest, experience and passion for the subject. This may include a Skype interview when decided necessary by the College.

£135 per week (if required).
