About Broadstairs

An Ideal Town!

Broadstairs is a beautiful coastal town, with wonderful beaches, on the famous South-East Coast of England. Unlike many large cities, it's a friendly place with excellent residential areas very close to the College.

There are many restaurants, pubs and coffee bars where you can meet friends. Close by there are also shopping centres, cinemas, theatres, music venues, bowling alleys, sports centres, markets and an amusement park. The old part of Broadstairs still retains the beauty of a picturesque fishing village. During the 19th century Broadstairs became popular with members of the royal family and famous artists and writers. Charles Dickens wrote much of his work here and called it his "beloved Broadstairs". The town remains popular with visitors today.
Nice town, lovely sandy beach, lovely harbour. There is a holiday atmosphere which is very pleasant. When you walk in the streets you meet people and start talking - it's magic!
